I really like this idea: School of Rock kiddos covering local songs with the locals who wrote them, including Red Fang, Blitzen Trapper, Menomena, Typhoon, Radiation City, and the Thermals.
This happens Friday, January 13th at 8pm at the Crystal Ballroom. $14 advance, $20 at the door, proceeds benefit PROWUS (Portland Rock With Us), which provides School of Rock scholarships for underprivileged children, and the annual PDX Pop Now! festival.
